Technically the first recorded episode of this podcast.

While recording some stuff about Algernon, I got sidetracked, didn’t like it, and then ranted after waiting the full 5 minutes. The intro episode is after I had the idea, and you can hear that happen in real time.

Allow me to tell you a little story. A thing happened. I didn’t expect it to happen, and I wasn’t even sure it was going to happen until right before it did. The sound of a gong seemed to free me, and words just came out despite my initial plan. Getting that out was cathartic, and I was able to re-record the episode staying true to the concept. In 40 episodes, this was the first retake ever. Pretty impressive if I do say so myself.

It was already too late. The seed of an idea was planted. A bit later in the day I went for a pleasant walk, and decided to record some rambling, which wound up being the watering and care a seed needs to grow into something more substantial. A small stem sprouted, a mandala in podcast form. Vault of the Raw was born, and now here it is.
